The impact extends beyond a single satellite. The YF-100 kerosene-and-oxygen engine used on the Long March 7A is common across China's modern launch fleet, so a failure investigation touching that engine constrains the launch schedule broadly, including missions tied to the country's lunar programme.

Japan moved in the opposite direction on the same day.
