# French Lawmakers Vote to Tax Crypto-to-Stablecoin Swaps at 31.4% From 2027

The National Assembly adopted amendment I-3898 to the 2027 budget, which ends the tax deferral on swaps into stablecoins such as USDC and EURC, but the Senate must still act and a forced budget passage could drop the amendment.
