Ukraine's Long-Range Strikes Trigger Missile Alerts Across Russian Regions

Ukraine pressed its long-range campaign against Russian territory and infrastructure overnight and into Monday, prompting missile-danger alerts across multiple regions. In Voronezh, the regional governor said air defenses destroyed several high-speed aerial targets and that three people were injured, one seriously, with production facilities damaged. The independent Russian channel Ostorozhno Novosti reported the same toll and damage to an industrial enterprise.

Alerts were declared in at least six regions, including Chuvashia, Tatarstan, and the Samara, Penza, Ulyanovsk, and Orenburg areas, where residents reported sirens. In occupied southern Ukraine, Russian-installed authorities said power lines near the Zaporizhzhia plant town of Enerhodar were damaged by drone attacks. Russia's defense ministry said its forces shot down 734 Ukrainian drones over the previous day and claimed advances on several fronts.

The figures come overwhelmingly from Russian official and regional sources and could not be independently verified. Russian legislator Alexey Pushkov framed Western intelligence-sharing for such strikes as evidence the West is entering a new phase of its conflict with Russia.
